Orange Beach/Gulf Shores, Alabama – January 16, 2012 Alabama deep sea fishing report. On this full day fishing trip on the big 65 foot Intimidator we had the Hilderbrand crew from Indiana onboard.

We departed Orange Beach Marina at 6 AM into rather choppy seas and headed south to the bottom fishing grounds. Mr. Hilderbrand and I had discussed the weather for several days leading up to this trip but no one onboard was sick and everyone catching all of the fish.

We caught Vermillion snapper, white snapper, some big triggerfish we then rode further on offshore. Once we got located, the big Amberjacks started to bite and I must admit I had kinda forgot how big and mean the Amberjacks are in the winter. We had a limit of big amberjack’s with some of the 50-75 pound class

Once everyone had the opportunity to battle an Amberjack it was time to start heading in so we pointed the boat toward the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast and made the ride back toward Perdido pass.

Orange Beach/Gulf Shores, Alabama – deep sea fishing report for December 30, 2011.

On today’s charter we had Brad Brannon from Atlanta, Ga. along with a host of my family and friends for a full day charter fishing trip.

We rode offshore to our first fishing spot which was about an hour and a half south of Orange Beach And we caught Vermillion snapper and triggerfish to get the day started.

From that point, we continued to work our way further offshore. After hitting three or four more bottom fishing spots I rounded up on our amberjack spot to see if we would get a bite. In short order, we were hooked up with with some nice ones for everyone to enjoy and battle.

It was a good day to be on the water! Happy New Year to everyone

Orange Beach/Gulf Shores, Alabama – deep sea fishing report for the charter-boat Intimidator.

The fishing has been really good when we have had the weather to get offshore. On our last full day Deep sea charter fishing trip it yielded us a limit of big amberjacks from 25 to 50 pounds. We also caught a bunch large vermilion snapper, triggerfish and white snapper.

The king mackerel will typically movies in to the larger structures within 20 miles of shore and aggregate in large schools making for some really fun, line-tripping action as is the focus of attention on the half day charters. There has also been some big Triggers in close too.

On the short four hour trolling trips for redfish has been a bit of a disappointment. In the late fall, we normally see large schools of redfish migrating up and down the beach but as of this point, they have not really showed up and a predictable manner which is common this time of year. However, It will pick and the fishing will just get better and better

We will continue to fish year-round and are ready to get offshore with your group. Now is the time to make you reservations for 2012 as dates are starting to book on up. We still have plenty of T-shirts available for purchase for s really cool stocking stuffer and Christmas gifts

Orange Beach / Gulf Shores, Al. – We have been fishing a fair amount over this month so far and have had some great trips mixed in with some good weather to go with it. The 4 hour trolling trips are starting to pick back up as the water clears out from Tropical Storm Lee. We are seeing some impressive number of Spanish Mackerel starting to show up too. The half day family trips are continuing to be a great trip with lots of fun and smiles for all the family’s who choose this option to spend some time on a charter fishing trip.

The full day trips are doing really good with big Amberjacks right now as that season continues to be just red-hot! We have had some wonderful catches of Jacks on the full day trips. Keep in mind on these trips sometimes it is not the hours you are buying but the fuel and you will be happy when you get back to the dock with a cart of pretty fish!

The biggest high light of the fall so far is that the big triggerfish are starting to show up and the offshore fishing for Wahoo and Tuna is getting better by the day. Now is the time to go fishing so call or text me today to arrange you dates for a fun deep-sea fishing trip on the charter boat Intimidator

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach,Alabama –
Friday September 9, 2011
On this six hour deep sea fishing charter trip we had my buddy Eric from Mobile, Alabama and friends onboard in town for a six hour fishing charter. We left Orange Beach Marina at 6 AM and cleared Perdido Pass at 6 AM just as the sun was coming up and we found the Gulf to be slick calm.

Not having fished since tropical storm Lee blew ashore last weekend we started off shore about 12 miles. We caught Vermillion snapper, red snapper, white snapper, triggerfish, and a nice red grouper along with dolphin fish (Mahi-Mahi).

However, the highlight of the day was all the guys that had gathered up just to have a good time, get away from everything and catch some fish.

We then moved on offshore to the Deepwater to try to catch some Yellow Edge Grouper and Tilefish. Fishing in 600 to 800 foot of water we had a great trip catch a bunch of cold water fish on the Diawa deep drop reels.

It was a great other than the fact we did not get very many pictures on the trip.

Orange Beach / Gulf Shores, Ala. – The half day 6 hour charters and the 4 hour trolling trips have been great successes over the past month and May has been no exception. The tornados that swept through northern Alabama have left us with some open dates as people have had to cancel for obvious reasons. Out trip today was to go catch some fish for to be donated to the food banks in the affected Tuscaloosa and Birmingham areas. We had a great time with calm weather and nice mess of fish! The Spanish and King Mackerel are here and biting really good, The triggerfish have showed up and have been fun to catch on light tackle.

The charter fishing trips have been wonderful with great catches of big fish. We have had many trips thus far this year and encourage you to come on down and go fishing! Dont let the fuel prices worry you, we will work with you on any trip that you might have booked. We are making changes to better serve you, and we are extremely grateful for all the trips.

Red Snapper season in Alabama opens on June 1st and will close July 18th so get on down here and help us catch-all the big fish that are just waiting to be caught. A 6 to 8 hour trip is all you need to catch these great game fish and you will have a blast!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out our website. We don’t have a high paid staff to do this, so you just have to wait for a fat fingered fishermen to type it all out!

Orange Beach/Gulf Shores, Al.- On this exciting deep-sea fishing trip we had some old regular customers that were ready get offshore and go chase some Offshore big game fish. We left out on Wednesday afternoon right after we finished up our morning 6 hour trip.

We ran offshore and caught some Amberjacks before dark to get some blood pumping and to have some fun! We then moved on offshore to our first offshore destination and found the big Blackfins to be biting like mad! The guys were using relatively light tackle in comparison and had a ball jigging. We then rode further on offshore to the next offshore oil rig to try our luck and not much was happening there so we went on further to another rig and arrived just before day light. The blackfins were biting good until Roland hooked a big Yellowfin Tuna on a jig and the fight was on! After a good long battle the fish showed and Chris and Barry gaffed him and brought him on in. We then Started trolling and on our first pass by the rig we were on again! This time with a little bigger fish on heavier tackle. After a 45 minute fight we then landed a nice Yellow fin Tuna.

We then went on a search mission for a big grass line and perhaps a big open water bite, but neither one of them came to be. Right at dark we started fishing around a deepwater oil rig and the guys continued to have a great time jigging. At about 2 am we started heading back in to the dock and arrived about lunch time. It was a great time and a good trip for Roland and the Guys!

Thanks to all the guys for all the fun times and great food. We had big steaks, king crab legs, pulled pork, man it was fine! Again many thanks
